Founded in 1965 by Dr. Edmund Neuhaus and Mrs. Louise Friedman, TRI was one of the first organizations to recognize the importance of providing work training opportunities for disabled individuals. Dr. Neuhaus and Mrs. Friedman were founding visionaries for the right and the opportunity for disabled persons to live, work and be accepted freely in a labor market that is open, inclusive and accessible to persons with all types of disabilities.
TRI has gone on to place over 11,000 individuals into competitive employment. TRI’s motto of “We believe in the power of work “underscores TRI’s commitment to help empower disabled and disenfranchised individuals into finding their place in the competitive job market.
TRI is here today, 50 years later, because of them. Today in 2016 just as it was when it was founded in 1965 TRI fights for, believes in and achieves for our consumers the Power of Work.
