The end result of vocational training is to integrate individuals into the community by placing them in competitive employment. At TRI this is our mission. We begin placement services as soon as an individual begins training by assisting them in formulating a vocational goal and providing them with training opportunities leading to that goal.
As an individual begins to master the skills necessary for employment the placement training staff begins to assist with the preparation of a resume. Individuals also participate in job readiness and job search groups as well as working one on one with a member of the placement staff who will assist in job search, interview and enhanced ability to communicate the skills developed to a future employer.
In many cases an internship is developed to give the individual a current reference as a bridge between our supportive training and to the world of competitive employment.
